Bus From Waverley Station (Train station)
Leave the station by the Princess Street exit and cross the road so you are on the side opposite the Scottish National Gallery and Scott Monument. From bus stop ‘PH’ take bus number 3, 3a, or 29. Or you can take buses 31 or 37 from bus stop ‘PJ’ (bus no 7, 8 and 49 also pass Quendale but these do not stop on Princes Street but can be taken from South Bridge in a south direction). You can use the correct change in cash or a bank/credit card for contactless payment. Get off at the ‘Suffolk Road’ stop on Craigmillar Park and Quendale is on the opposite side of the road. The journey takes from 15 to 30 minutes depending on traffic. Information on bus times and fares is available on the website https://www.lothianbuses.com

There are also apps by Transport for Edinburgh where bus routes and timetables can be seen and e-tickets purchased in advance. These are called ‘m-Tickets’ and ‘Bus and Tram’.

Taxi from Waverley Station
The taxi rank is located on Market Street which is located at the south exit from the station. A black cab will take around 10 minutes.

Bus from St. Andrew’s Square Bus Station
Walk past St. Andrew’s Square onto Princess Street. Turn right and walk along Princess Street until you are at bus stop ‘PH’ or ‘PJ’. See the above instructions from Waverley Station for bus numbers and further info.

Public Transport from the Airport
Take the Airlink 100 from the Airport into the city centre ‘SC Shandwick Place stop’, walk back along the pavements two bus stops to the Stop SA Shandwick Place (NE). Take the number 3 or 31 from this stop. Get off the 3 or 31 at the ‘Suffolk Road’ stop on Craigmillar Park and Quendale is on the opposite side of the road. The journey takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Tickets can be booked in advance at https://www.lothianbuses.com/our-services/airport-buses/ or paid using a contactless card on board the bus.

Taxi from the Airport
A taxi from the airport should take 25 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic.

By car
Whichever way you approach Edinburgh, take the City Bypass (A720) to the Straiton Junction. Leave the bypass at this junction and take the A701 to the City Centre. Travel north for approximately 3 miles (4.8 km) until you reach a large junction with traffic lights (Cameron Toll). Continue on the A701 towards the City Centre – Quendale is approximately 150 m on the left side. There is free parking in the surrounding streets including Wilton Road, Suffolk Road and Gilmour Road (avoid the marked residents only spaces).
